I just made it easier for anyone to comment on this blog, and you don't even need an account! Simply click "comment" at the bottom of the post, and select the "Name/URL" option. It's THAT easy!
To more important issues, I can't believe that I leave on Sunday! It seems like just yesterday that I received the email saying that I was accepted as an assistante! I'm going through a lot of different emotions: excited, nervous, happy, sad, etc. I think that I am anxious, most of all. I know that everything will be fine, but I just want to get over to France so that I can start getting things in order there. This will probably be the only entry before I leave, and while I will miss everyone here very much, I'm really lucky to have this opportunity and I'm excited to start my year in France. Bises!

Hi Melissa!
Uncle Dan and I are very happy and excited for you as you start your journey in France! We are even happier that you were able to be here for the Olympic Games...who would know Micheal Phelps could swim so well with a broken leg!(Sorry, everyone, an inside joke!).
Also, I guess it would be our duty to keep you up on Cramer...I know you will miss that part of American culture immensely.
Seriously, we will miss you but know that you are loved very much and are only a phone call away.
Granny called and said that your Mom had told her that you arrived safe and sound in the City of Lights. Hey, you're there!!
We'll keep in touch!
love ya lots,
A.J.
P.S. Packers lost to the Cowboys in case you didn't hear. We were there, it was painful. Just remember to tell your students that the Cowboys are NOT America's team!!! It is imperative they get that straight from the get-go.
Oops, I forgot to leave my name!!
I am not anonymous, I am Aunt Judy.
Hey Missy,
Glad to hear you made it to France. Enjoy your journey and we appreciate you sharing it with us. I think you have the whole range of emotions pretty well chronicled. Now it will be interesting to see which ones are most remember after your experience is over. We will certainly keep you up on activities here (like new babies and football - maybe the two most important elements in life itself.) You take care, be safe and make sure you send pictures - just don't share any pictures of us with your students - we don't want to give these young impressionable minds - the wrong impression.
Love you lots

hi missy
this is your solid looking citizen granny. So very happy you got to Paree safely. Was thinking about you all the way. Not much new here but the Brew Crew got a W last night after a Prince homerun in the bottom of the ninth--the crowd went wild. Still one game behind the Mets--Cubbies coming to town for the weekend--hope we can bring the broom out.
Keep in touch - we will do the same. Love you a bunch.
Granny
