HAITI

As a francophone lover, and human being, I can't help but feel incredible sadness over the recent earthquakes in Haiti.  Please do/give what you can to help.  They were already the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere before the quakes, with an average yearly income of $90-$300.  They truly, truly need us more than ever.  So offer what you can: money, prayers, aid, good vibes, anything.

Don't know how to help?  Here's a few good ways:
The Red Cross
Short List of Aid Groups
Text "Haiti" to 90999, in order to send a $10 donation to the Red Cross
Text "Yele" to 501501, in order to send a $5 donation to Yele Haiti (Wyclef Jean's relief fund...already doing lots of good stuff before the quakes).

I know the economy sucks, and these are trying times for everyone.  But they need us more than we need that pizza or that DVD or that expensive shampoo.  MESI!!! ("Thanks" in Haitian Creole)
