YES. WE. DID!! And its only just the beginning...
"In an open letter to Obama, French President Nicolas Sarkozy offered 'my warmest congratulations, and through me, those of the entire French people.'
He said Obama's election raised in France, in Europe and around the world 'an immense hope' and that the American people 'had expressed with force their faith in progress and the future'."

"And to all those watching tonight from beyond our shores, from parliaments and palaces, to those who are huddled around radios in the forgotten corners of the world, our stories are singular, but our destiny is shared, and a new dawn of American leadership is at hand."

well i can't believe it's over... but really, hasn't it just begun? there's still so much work to do and i hope to be a part of it. i really do.
i'm glad that you enjoyed the obama stuff. i have some more that i'm sending - bascially just our leftover persuasion lit (we have boxes and boxes of it). if you need anything, please let me know, if you want me to write an account of what i did or anything like that, let me know.
the campaign always said that we will change the world. but until i heard your account of sitting at your computer until 5am in the morning and others around the world, it didn't fully hit me that we really did change the world. and history. it's ridiculously unreal. i'm so glad you are there right now to see it happening. the world will never be the same (for the better!)
lovelovelove,
claire
p.s. i miss you and i miss paris! i'm glad that you had a good time again. but how could you have a bad time in paris? i think it's impossible : )
