A few random thoughts from the first week of 2009:
1. You know what sucks? When your school's heating is broken. I'm not working much this week (since its the first week back), but I'm starting to eat like an American again in the cafeteria--shove-everything-in-your-mouth-as-fast-as-you-can because there is no heat there. Luckily, my apartment is nice and toasty.
2. You can easily burn through Season 4 of LOST, when your internet doesn't work at night (all 14 episodes! And I started on Saturday).
3. Snow is better and prettier when it doesn't happen frequently and when you don't have to shovel it.
4. "God Save the Queen" is not the national anthem of the United States.
5. I missed my students and their funny personalities more than I thought I would.
